Jennifer Burney Reaches Self-Sufficiency Goals

Kinston Housing FSS program graduate, Jennifer Burney, achieved her goals for self-sufficiency in July 2023. During her time within the FSS program, Jennifer made significant progress toward financial independence. She increased her income, improved her budgeting skills, and paid down debts while increasing her credit scores. Congratulations on your achievements, Jennifer!

The purpose of the program is to assist families in completing measurable goals in education, financial training, and job training with emphasis on improving earning potential and developing credit readiness.

Over the course of the multi-year program, FSS participants work to become financially independent of public assistance and move toward homeownership.
