Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, treasury management, and public accounting. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the organization, with a focus on fiscal management and financial planning.
  • Oversee the development of annual budgets and cash flow analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with GASB and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage and direct the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
  • Manage, direct, and oversee all accounting functions.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights on the organization's financial performance.
  • Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and coaching to ensure their growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including banks and financial institutions.
  • Provide financial guidance to senior leadership, supporting business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Ensure the organization's financial controls and processes are robust and effective.
  • Prepare and submit all financial reports as required by HUD in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process 1099s.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field other related field or any equivalent combination of experience, training, and education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • At least 10 years of experience preferably in a financial leadership role, with a focus on treasury management, cash flow analysis, and public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Experience in accounts payable and account analysis.
  • A background in public accounting or financial management.
  • A track record of leadership and the ability to manage a team of financial professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Beginning Salary: $62,504.00 annually

Must pass a criminal background check and have a valid NC driver's license.
